New I-9 Form Goes Into Use In April
Employers are required to use a newly revised Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 starting April 3rd as a result of new rules published by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. The new form, designated as “Form I-9(Rev. 02/02/09)”, reflects the new rules which no longer allow an employer to accept expired US passports and expired drivers’ licenses to verify an employee’s right to work in the United States. |
